THE FALL

"The Fall" Is the Third part of the saga that has become Equinox. First came the Summer of Love, then it ended with the Equinox. So naturally, the only thing that could come next is The Fall. This song came to be is a cheeky play of words within the very same concept of what the Equinox is, identifying Autumn/ Fall with an actual falling out of love, but also the subsequent fall of Grace experienced in a breakup and the self destructive tendencies we can adopt as coping mechanisms.

This idea of falling and falling and just being addicted to it - It feels very true to my personal experience. Sometimes hitting rick bottom feels right, because it's serving a purpose, because it will soon become the very reason you rise up again, stronger than before. But upon recognising that in myself, I became aware of the downside or danger of this behavior. Sometimes falling from grace helps lower outside expectations on oneself, and that's why rising back again feels so much better. Because you're proving everyone wrong, but also because for once you don't feel this huge pressure on your chest to be perfect.

Is that just me? Or is it normal? Anyways, who knows...

This is lso the first time I collaborate with another featured artist - the amazing Oliver Peñataro. He's the most talented singer, songwriter, composer, script writer and future film director ever. It's truly a gift to be able to witness his creating process, and I admire him more and more as we've been collaborating these past months.​
